In the insurance of private sector power companies, we are the pioneer. We started with
insurance of 60 MW Barge Mounted Power Plant at Mymensingh built for RPC by Mitsui
Engineering and Shipbuilding Co., Japan followed by insurance on 110 MW Barge Mounted
Power Plant of Khulna Power Company, 110 MW Barge Mounted Power Plant at Baghabari of
Westmont Power and 350 MW AES Power Plant at Haripur. We have also insured small power
plants of United Summit Groups. For handling insurance of technological and
multi-dimensional projects, one needs support of multinational Insurance Brokers for
Reinsurance placement in the world market. We have developed our relations with AON and
MARSH, the two big insurance broking houses in the world who always support us in
underwriting any big risk in Bangladesh. We have good working relation with TYSER &
Company, Re- insurance broker of the SBC, the state corporation on insurance &
re-insurance.
We have confidence in our technical and financial ability to underwrite big industrial or
infrastructure projects.
